COP 16: Farewell to incandescent bulbs!
The Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 16) held this month in Cancun, Mexico's President Felipe Calderón announced that as of January 2014 there will be no incandescent bulbs in the domestic market. With the intention of preventing the emission into the atmosphere of more than 780 thousand tons of carbon dioxide per year, he created this program to replace incandescent energy savers.
