FM HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS EXPLAIN EXPERIMENT 3 OERSTED

Area Mathematical and Physical s performed this experiment to explain the relationship that has the magnetism to electricity. Speaking a little more about this experiment we leave a little history:

In 1820, while working in his laboratory, Oersted mounted an electrical circuit, and placed near a magnetic needle. There being no current in the circuit (open circuit), the magnetic needle was oriented in the north-south, as we know.

In establishing a current in the circuit, Oersted noted that the magnetic needle is deflected and tend to orient perpendicular to the conductor. By interrupting the flow of current, the needle returned to its original position, NS.
